Fulham midfielder Bryan Ruiz climbed off the bench to bag a last-gasp winner as Fulham snatched victory against Reading.

Alex Kacaniklic put the Cottagers ahead after the break, only for former Cottagers frontman Pavel Pogrebnyak to equalise.

However, Ruiz headed home in stoppage-time to get the Whites back to winning ways in the league.

The Royals started on the front foot and went close when captain Alex Pearce saw a header cleared off the line, while Hal Robson-Kanu clipped the bar shortly after.

Fulham grew into the game and almost broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time. Shaun Hutchinson's header was saved by Adam Federici and Hugo Rodallega fired the rebound against the woodwork.

The Cottagers took the lead 10 minutes after the break. Scott Parker picked out Kacaniklic, who lashed the ball past Federici from inside the box.

Reading hit back and Marcus Bettinelli denied Simon Cox, but the visitors equalised just after the hour mark.

Pogrebnyak pounced to head home Oliver Norwood's corner - his first league goal of the season.

The Royals had the ball in the net again on 70 minutes, but Cox's close-range effort was chalked off by the linesman's flag.

Symons brought on Cauley Woodrow and Ruiz as the home side searched for a winner.

And the duo combined to earn victory when Woodrow headed Ross McCormack's cross back for Ruiz to nod in from close range.
