Fulham (0) 1-2 (1) QPR

A late Idrissa Sylla header won QPR the west London derby 2-1 at Craven Cottage, despite the host missing two penalties.

Tom Cairney's early missed penalty gave the visitors an early reprieve , before Conor Washington made the hosts pay with a strike from 16 yards.

The Cottagers missed a series of opportunities but Ream hooked them level on 46 minutes.

Substitute Sylla then scored with two minutes remaining to steal the three points for the Rs, before Sone Aluko's last minute penalty hit the post.

Fulham ’s afternoon of woe began early on when referee Lee Mason pointed to the spot after five minutes when Ragnar Sigurdsson was adjudged to be fouled from a corner.

Cairney was the man to step up, but his penalty was palmed to safety by Rangers goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

The botched spot-kick sparked something in the visitors and Washington might have made them pay five minutes later when he raced through on goal, but the Whites recovered well .

But after 20 minutes, the forward did make his mark when he slotted his deflected strike beyond the desperate claws of David Button.

Fulham retaliated and things went from bad to worse for them when Lucas Piazon and Chris Martin were completely through on goal.

The Brazilian lured Smithies out and laid the ball to his team mate, who could only slide the ball wide.

The hosts then came closest to scoring through Sone Aluko when the former Hull player cut inside and fired an effort narrowly wide of the far post.

And seven minutes before the break, Cairney’s carbon copy effort also left Smithies stranded, but missed the far post.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s men drew level straight one minute after the interval when a corner was played back to Piazon, who found Parker.

The Fulham captain’s wicked cross was clutched away from the net by Smithies, but Ream finished despite a desperate attempt to clear off the line.

Parker then somehow was kept out by Steven Caulker when his shot from 16 yards was flicked away by the centre back’s heel, with Smithies beaten.

Nedum Onuoha might have stolen a win for the visitors when he met Chery's free kick at the far post, only to head over from less than six yards out.

But QPR stole the victory late on when Sylla headed home unmarked at with less than three minutes remaining to send Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men home with the spoils, despite Jozabed's injury time free-kick hitting the crossbar.

And Fulham, somehow, threw away a chance at an equaliser when they were granted a 95th minute penalty.

Aluko stepped up and hit the post to send Craven Cottage into a fury, while Rangers fans went home on cloud nine.
