Fulham (0) 1-1 (1) Sheffield Wednesday

Scott Malone is the Craven Cottage hero as he scores injury-time equaliser to cancel out Fernando Forestieri’s strike.

Left-back Malone popped up in stoppage to give Fulham an unlikely point and break Wednesday's hearts in the Championship clash

Slavisa Jokanovic says he must be going deaf after ref Geoff Eltringham refused to award Fulham a crucial penalty.

The Serbian’s side claimed a point thanks to Scott Malone’s last-gasp strike.

But he reckons it should have been all three after he said Stefan Johansen was pulled back in the box by Jack Hunt in the first half.

Jokanovic recalled being given advice by referees’ chiefs on rule changes regarding fouls last summer.

He moaned: “The rules say it is clearly a penalty. They explained the rules.

“If they talk about this situation and then do not point to the penalty spot, I didn’t hear very well!

“I don’t want to be funny but it is a big mistake in a very dangerous moment for us everyone in the stadium saw it.”

But the Cottagers chief was pleased with his side’s response after going behind on ten minutes.

He said: “We did not surrender in any moment. If we had played this game last year we would have lost 3-0.”

Fernando Forestieri scored a wonder strike when he hammered in from 15 yards after silky flicks from the impressive Barry Bannan and Gary Hooper.

The hosts equalised a minute into stoppage time. Tom Cairney crossed, Floyd Ayite flicked on and Malone buried the half-volley.

Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal said: “We scored one goal and probably should have killed the game.”
