Substitute Cauley Woodrow's stoppage-time equaliser saw Fulham avoid a third straight Championship defeat - but fans still booed the team off at the final whistle.

Nahki Wells had put Huddersfield ahead, steering the ball into the far corner on 63 minutes after Harry Bunn had got the better of left-back Kay Voser.

Fulham looked destined for defeat when Moussa Dembele missed Fulham's best chance with a close range header and Terriers keeper Joe Murphy kept out Tom Cairney's late free-kick.

Huddersfield would have returned home with all three points had it not been for Whites goalkeeper Andy Lonergan, who made five important saves before Woodrow's dramatic leveller.

Fulham's injury woes, which saw keeper Marcus Bettinelli and striker Matt Smith sidelined earlier this week, continued just 10 minutes into this game when centre-back Shaun Hutchinson was forced off.

Jamie O'Hara was the only Whites player to test Murphy before the break while Lonergan, in for Bettinelli, stopped two long-range strikes from the impressive Danny Butterfield.

Slack defending from Voser and Dan Burn saw the pair tackle each other and set up Sean Scannell, who forced Lonergan into another low save at his near post, and Scannell made him save again with a back-post header after Wells had fired his side into the lead.

Dembele's miss, a header straight at Murphy when unmarked, could have cost Fulham - but in the last of four stoppage-time minutes, Woodrow was on hand to control Burn's flick-on from a corner and volley home the equaliser.
