Bjarne Goldbaek Denmark trounced Malta 5-0 in a World Cup European group three qualifier at Ta'Qali stadium. Bjarne Goldbeak was called up for the Danish squad and rested on the subs bench.

  Steve Finnan who scored on his last outing for the Republic was allowed to rest on the subs bench while Eire went second in their World Cup group two after a convincing 4-0 win over Cyprus.   Steve Finnan

Sean Davis Sean Davis was awarded his first international honour on Friday evening when he starred in England's win over Finland. Sean performed excellently in mid-field nearly crafting a goal with a well taken free kick.

  Jamaica gave up two soft goals in the first 17 minutes after which the Reggae Boyz demonstrated character. Barry Hayles came on as a sub and gave an impressive performance

Maik Taylor The Czech Republic reinforced their dominance at the top of World Cup qualifying group three with a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland whose hopes of reaching next year's finals have all but evaporated.
