	Denmark trounced Malta 5-0 in a World Cup European group three qualifier at Ta'Qali stadium. Bjarne Goldbeak was called up for the Danish squad and rested on the subs bench.


Cyprus 0 Eire 4
	Steve Finnan who scored on his last outing for the Republic was allowed to rest on the subs bench while Eire went second in their World Cup group two after a convincing 4-0 win over Cyprus.


England U21 4 Finland U21 0
	Sean Davis was awarded his first international honour on Friday evening when he starred in England's win over Finland. Sean performed excellently in mid-field nearly crafting a goal with a well taken free kick.


Mexico 4 Jamaica 0
	Jamaica gave up two soft goals in the first 17 minutes after which the Reggae Boyz demonstrated character. Barry Hayles came on as a sub and gave an impressive performance


Northern Ireland 0 Czech Republic 1
	The Czech Republic reinforced their dominance at the top of World Cup qualifying group three with a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland whose hopes of reaching next year's finals have all but evaporated. Maik Taylor rested on the sub's bench.


Armenia 2 Wales 2
	Wales saw their World Cup hopes hang by a thread after they let a precious lead slip at the Republican Stadium. Andy Melville took his regular place in the Welsh defence while Kit Symons was allowed to rest
