Former Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah has joined Georgian giants Dinamo Tbilisi after nine months as a free agent.

Onomah, 28, has struggled to get regular football after leaving Fulham in 2023 and is now looking to get his career back on track in Eastern Europe.

The midfielder joined Dinamo on a short-term contract that runs until December.

The ex-England youth international started out at Tottenham‘s academy back in 2013 at the age of 16.

Onomah earned a senior call-up in 2015 and went on to amass a total of one goal in 32 appearances with the North Londoners.

The versatile midfielder, who mostly plays at No8, left Tottenham in 2019 for London rivals Fulham as part of a deal that saw Ryan Sessegnon going the other way.

But game time eventually became limited at Craven Cottage after five goals and eight assists in 76 appearances.

That led Onomah to Preston in 2023 when he signed a short-term deal before an unsuccessful trial at Stoke.

In 2024 the ex-England Under-21 international signed with Blackpool where he reunited with Steve Bruce with whom he worked at Villa and Wednesday.

However, a series of injuries severely hindered his involvement and he left in June.

Onomah couldn’t find another club during the summer transfer window and that led him to Georgia where the season started just a month ago.
