Former Fulham midfielder John Collins is urging Fulham's new owner Shahid Khan not to press the panic button and ditch manager Martin Jol.
Jol is said to be fighting for his job at Craven Cottage after a disappointing start to the Premier League season, which has seen his side lose four of their opening six games.
But Collins, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, claimed the Dutchman has plenty of time to turn things around.
"It's far too early [to talk about sacking him]. Martin has proved he is a good manager," the former Fulham midfielder said.
"They are going through a sticky spell at the moment but you have got to give the manager time. He has signed a few players and they have got to bed in.
"It has been a disappointing start but there is a long way to go. They have been in the bottom four or five many times before and at the end of the season they are in the middle of the table, so it is quite a common theme for them."
