F.A. Cup Semi Final details - 14.04.02
last updated Friday 12th April 2002, 3:12 PM
Fulham fans will be enjoying a weekend away from the concerns of the
Premiership this weekend as they soak up the excitement of being one game
away from a second F.A. Cup final.
On Sunday we will be at Villa Park roaring Jean Tigana's Black and White
Army on against a suitable foe, the Fulham Broadway mob. A win for Fulham
will put them not only into the Final for only the second time in their
history but also probably into the UEFA Cup next season. Middlesbrough and
Arsenal dispute the other semi final and if Arsenal win, as they should,
their place in the Champions League next season means the Cup runners up
go into the UEFA Cup in their place.
Fulham and Chelsea have meet 5 times in the F. A. Cup and Fulham have won
twice, following drawn encounters at Fulham Broadway, and lost once. Not
a bad record for the Cottagers.
