Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Mariner is in talks with Fulham over a deal to extend the loan of goalkeeper David Stockdale.
The 24-year-old has made five appearances for Plymouth since arriving on a month's loan in January and his initial deal expires after Tuesday's game against Swansea City.
However, Mariner is keen to keep Stockdale at Home Park and is optimistic that Fulham will agree to an extension.
Mariner told The Herald: "We are trying to extend David's loan and it's looking extremely positive.
"I will probably have more information after the game tonight.
"He has fitted into the squad very well. He's an amiable lad and he works very hard at his game.
"I think he has proven to everyone that he's very commanding in the box.
"He's a young goalkeeper so he has still got things to learn. He's by no means the finished article and David understands that."
