Dave Jones favourite to take Fulham job

last updated Thursday 22nd July 2010, 5:48 PM

CARDIFF CITY boss Dave Jones has today been installed as the red-hot favourite to take the manager's job at Fulham.

Ajax boss Martin Jol's decision to rule himself out of the running and remain with the Dutch giants has seen a flood of interest in the Bluebirds boss to become the next man in the hot-seat at Craven Cottage.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes and William Hill currently both rate him at 5-2 to quit the Welsh capital.

Former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson is second favourite behind Jones at odds of 4-1 with American Bob Bradley at 7-1

Jones, the Championship's longest serving manger, is currently preparing for his sixth season in charge at Cardiff. Last campaign he saw his side miss out on Premiership football after losing to Blackpool in the Championship play-off final
