Referee Chris Kavanagh started refereeing in 1998 at the age of 13 years old. At age 29 years he was promoted to referee in the Blue Square Conference in season 2012-13 and then in the Football League in the 2014/2015 season.
In the summer of 2016 he was promoted to the Select Group 2 and therefore is employed on a full time basis.
Mr Kavanagh then became a Select Group 1 referee for the 2017/18 season.
The last time Ref Kavanagh bossed a Fulham game was the 2-2 draw with QPR in March of this year. He booked Targett (86,f), Mitrovic (90+3,arg) and three QPR players.
Mr Kavanagh also refed two Fulham games last season..
The first of the two games was the 1-1 away draw at Leeds in the August when he yellow carded Denis Odoi for a foul and Bartley of Leeds also for a foul. Leeds grabbed a draw with a 93rd minute goal.
His second game was the 3-1 home defeat by Wolves on the 18th March 2017 when he yellow carded three Wolves players and no Fulham players
Mr Kavanagh last reffed Derby CountyIn April 2017 when they beat 10-man Wolves 3-1. Wolves player Cavaleiro recieved a straight red in the 33rd minute.
Last season he refed 40 games and dished out 133 yellows and 3 reds, so an average 3.3 yellows per game. This season so far he has bossed 28 games and issued 96 yellows, an average 3.4 cards a match, and 4 reds
Mr Kavanagh's busiest game so far this season was Brighton v Leicester at the end of March when he yellow carded seven players, two from Brighton and five from Leicester, following up with a second yellow for Ndidi of Leicester in the 87th minute.
