Former Liverpool Manager Roy Evans |
Fulham Manager Chris Coleman is poised to make his first and potentially most vital signing.
Coleman, 32, is reported as being already in discussion with Roy Evans about the feasibility of the former Liverpool Manager working alongside him as a Premiership guide and mentor.
Having, originally, insisted that he was too inexperienced to take the job Coleman has seen off the challenges of former Bayer Leverkusen boss Klaus Toppmoller and ex-Ipswich Manager George Burley.
In spring 2000, the ex-Liverpool boss had a three-month stint at Craven Cottage as assistant to player-boss Karlheinz Riedle helping to hold the fort between the sacking of Paul Bracewell and the arrival of Jean Tigana.
Coleman made 40 league appearances that season as the club finished ninth in Division One.
Evans spent 33 years as a player, coach and manager at Anfield before quitting in 1998 to leave Gerard Houllier at the helm.
