Cardiff City (1) 1-2 (2) Fulham

Sixteen-year-old Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon was the hero as Fulham came from behind to secure FA Cup victory against Cardiff.

England Under-17 international Sessegnon became one of the competitions youngest-ever goalscorers as he tapped home from close range, as Slavisa Jokanovic's men earned a place in the fourth round.

Sessgnon, who has been watched by Manchester United and Arsenal this season, netted the winner after Anthony Pilkinton's early deflected freekick had been cancelled out by Stefan Johansen.

It was the second time Cardiff had felt the youngster's presence, having also seen him score against them in August, during the league meeting between the two sides.

However, Sessegnon wasn't met with any hostility as he celebrated his winner - with a sparse crowd in south Wales.

Only 5,199 were in attendance for the all Championship clash, with the 11:30am kickoff persuading many supporters to stay at home.

And that low-key atmosphere didn't help either side, with the match played well below the pace of a league fixture - despite both Neil Warnock and Slavisa Jokanovic resisting the opportunity to make widespread changes.

Pilkington's early strike handed the Bluebirds the lead, his freekick hitting Lucas Piazon and wrong-footing Marcus Bettinelli.

But six minutes later, Fredericks cut back found Johansen, who fired into the roof of the net on his 26th birthday to level the scores.

Fulham dominated possession - claiming 76 per cent during the first period - and took a deserved lead in the 33rd minute, as Fredericks cross was smashed off the bar by Tom Cairney, falling kindly for Sessegnon to nudge home.

And Jokanovic's men eased over the line in the second period to secure a fourth round spot.
