Cardiff (1) 1-0 (0) Fulham
Sean Morrison was Cardiff City's blue-eyed boy as his early goal was enough to ensure Fulham didn't spoil the Bluebirds' day of celebration.
On an emotionally-charged afternoon, Cardiff marked their return to their traditional home colours with a first league win in six, a miserable run of form that had stretched back to November and piled the pressure on Russell Slade.
But the change of kit prompted a change of fortune when Aron Gunnarsson's 14th minute long throw was glanced goalwards by defender Morrison and Fulham keeper Marcus Bettinelli was unable to prevent it from crossing the line.
Morrison saw another effort cleared off the whitewash when Peter Whittingham's corner was met by Adam le Fondre, the centre-back's effort from a tight angle cleared by Kostas Stafylidis on 21 minutes.
