Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett is urging his Burton Albion side to be disciplined and patient when Premier League Fulham visit the Pirelli Stadium tonight.
The Brewers meet the Cottagers in the second round of the League Cup, kick-off 7.45pm, hoping for a big shock after their first-round win at Sheffield United.
And Rowett wants a similar performance to the grafting one seen at Bramall Lane in the 2-1 victory three weeks ago.
"What will be important, and we found it against Sheffield United for half an hour, is when we win the ball we cannot attack too quickly," said the Albion boss.
"There have got to be times when we settle down.
"Yes, we want to play into our front four because we think they're good players.
"But there are times when that's not worked so we've got to take a little bit more care on the ball and pass it better, particularly in the opponents' half.
"We've got to do that against Fulham, because if we give the ball away cheaply we might not see it again for two minutes. That's going to be crucial."
Rowett is hoping that the expected changes from the London side will weaken them and give the Brewers a real chance of pulling off an upset.
"I don't think many Premier League teams playing against a League Two side have many weaknesses," he said. "If they make four of five changes, like I'm sure they will, what that does is give you an opportunity because they might not be at their most fluid.
"It can give your players a little bit of heart to press and be a bit braver in and out of possession.
"If they come and pass the ball like they can, move us around like they can with their movement and the athletes and ability they've got, they're going to give us a difficult game."
