Former Fulham defender Matthew Briggs has signed for League One side Colchester United following his release by Millwall.
Briggs was once the Premier League's youngest player when he made his debut for Fulham at the age of just 16 years and 65 days in 2007.
The 24-year-old former Fulham left-back played 18 times for the U's, on loan, last season as they avoided relegation to League Two with a final-day win over Preston.
The Guyana international, let go by Millwall after 12 appearances, has signed a two-year deal with the U's.
He becomes Colchester's third summer signing, following the arrivals of Richard Brindley and Kieran Bailey.
