Birmingham City has informed the English Football League that we are unable to fulfil our Boxing Day meeting with Fulham and accordingly the match has been postponed.
This follows the number of COVID-19 cases within the Men’s First Team group, meeting the EFL threshold criteria for the non-fulfilment of a fixture.
We have been working hard to ensure that the game would go ahead. However, taking into account the injuries and positive COVID-19 cases with the squad, the Club does not have a sufficient number of players available.
Blues will now work in consultation with Fulham and the EFL to agree on a new date and time for the game. Details of this will be communicated in due course here on BCFC.com, with ticket details to follow.
We regret any inconvenience and disappointment caused to supporters as a result of the postponement, but the health of both players and staff must be prioritised.
