Simon Morgan faces yet
another long lay-off after damaging cruciate ligaments in his left knee in a
  training incident last week.
The injury blow came just days
after Morgan had returned to full training following the defender’s recovery
from a problem in his right knee.
Speaking at the Club’s Motspur
Park training facility on Tuesday morning Morgan revealed:
“It’s good news and bad news
  for me really.
"The good news is that
my right knee is now fine. But the bad news is that three days back into training,
I had a collision and ruptured the cruciate ligaments in my left knee.
“I’ve been getting my results
over the last few days or so, and unfortunately it looks like another long lay-off.
Despite this setback Morgan,
who is celebrating his 10th year at Craven Cottage with a series of testimonial
events, remains in good spirits and once again stated his determination to make
a comeback into the Fulham 1st team before the end of the season:
"The way the lads are
playing helps. I can sit back and enjoy the football for a while.Thankfully there are two types of cruciate
ligament injuries and this is the lesser of the two. It’s now down to rest and
  recuperation for me.<
He added:
“These
things happen, but hopefully I’ll be back by the end of the season when the lads
are top of the league and going for the Championship.”
