Fulham are on the verge of signing Leyton Orient defender Gabriel Zakuani, according to the League Two side.
The two clubs have been in talks over the 20-year-old Democratic Republic of Congo international for the past month.
However, the O's have revealed that they are close to agreeing a fee with Fulham - and expect the deal to be completed on Monday.
The fee is reportedly set to exceed the club record £600,000 that Orient were paid for John Chiedozie in 1981.
Zakuani has scored three goals in close to 100 appearances for the Brisbane Road outfit.
