Fulham assistant boss Christian Damiano put Fulham's win at York down
to the fact that they did not underestimate the Division Three strugglers.
Goals in each half from Steed Malbranque and Steve Marlet sent the Cottagers
cruising into the Fifth Round, but despite their off-field problems and
lowly league standing the Minstermen still gave their guests several scares.

And while other Premiership managers may have taken the opportunity to
rest players, but Damiano insisted there was no doubt in Jean Tigana's
mind that he would need his best side in action at Bootham Crescent.
Damiano said: "We took them very seriously and did our homework
on them. That is why we put our best team out there because although we
had a few injuries, we had all our important players up against them.
"I felt we never had true superiority throughout the game, but we
always looked the better side on a pitch difficult to play football on.
"The York goalkeeper made two or three fantastic saves and they
played with real spirit - with their hearts and their heads, although
were perhaps unlucky.
"They were prepared to take risks and in the end that is why we
managed to get the decisive second goal."
