Fulham fans can look forward to another London derby
on Sunday when Tottenham visit Craven Cottage. The game is made even more
important following the Saturday results which saw both Middlesbrough and Everton
move above us in the Premiership.
There have been 52 games in all competitions between Fulham and Tottenham of which
Fulham have won 6, drawn 17 and lost 29. The most recent meeting between the two
squads was a Premiership game earlier this season, December 2001, when Spurs won
4-0.
In the 25 clashes between the two squads at Craven Cottage Fulham have won 4 drawn
9 and lost 12. The last Fulham victory at the Cottage was in December 1999 when
Fulham beat Spurs 3-1 in a League Cup fixture. Fulham's best win was 4-1 in Feb
65 when Rodney Marsh scored one of the 16 goals he scored for Fulham that season.
Spurs last won 5 games ago when they beat Sunderland 2-1 at home in the Premiership.
They have lost 5 and won 1 of their last 6 games in all competitions. Their last
4 games have ended in defeat 3 games by 4-0 administered once by Man U and twice
by chelsea. Glenn Hoddle's squad have been travelling very poorly in recent times
having won 1, drawn 1 and lost 8 of their last 10 away games in all competitions.
The single victory was 2-0 away at Division One Coventry 5 games ago in the F.
A. Cup. In their last 6 home and away Premiership games Tottenham have lost 5
and won 1, the victory was 2-1 at home to Sunderland. Spurs last won away in the
Premiership 8 games ago in a 2-0 victory at Newcastle. Since that game they have
lost 6 games, twice by 4-0, and drawn once.
Certainly if Fulham are up for the game, right from the kick off, they have nothing
to fear from Spurs at Craven Cottage and if our strikers have a little luck in
front of goal The Cottagers will win.
Other games
If we beat Tottenham we will go up to 9th place in the Premiership as Southampton
drew away at Sunderland on Saturday.
If we lose then Middlesbrough, winners away at Man U, and Everton, also winners
away at Derby, will both stay above us leaving us in 14th spot and three points
above the relegation zone. Don't panic!!!

Michael Owen is set to return after missing the last three games with a
recurrence of his hamstring problem. The Merseysiders reported no ill effects
from Tuesday night's Champions League victory over Roma and they should
be able to pick from a strong squad.
Chelsea are without the suspended Graeme Le Saux, sent off at Tottenham
a fortnight ago. His absence could lead to a recall for Mario Stanic with
Jesper Gronkjaer switching to the left flank.

Fulham hope to have Sean Davis, who suffered a heavily bruised thigh three
weeks ago, back in action. John Collins has been working with Cottagers
fitness coach Roger Propos to overcome a minor hamstring niggle this week
and is expected to be fit to face Spurs.
Tottenham skipper Teddy Sheringham (groin), Les Ferdinand (Achilles tendon)
and Sergei Rebrov (back) are all doubtful, leaving Steffen Iversen as the
only fit front man. Defenders Dean Richards (groin) and Ben Thatcher (hamstring)
are also doubts.
