OXFORD UNITED have made a further delve into the transfer market,
snapping up Ian McGuckin from Fulham on a Bosman style free transfer.

The
27-year-old defender, who found himself surplus to requirements
at Craven Cottage - spending last-term in the reserves, has signed
a three-year deal with the Manor Ground outfit.
McGuckin (pictured) becomes the third signing by U’s manager Denis
Smith this summer, following the captures of Emmanuel Omoyinmi
and John Robertson.
The move has delighted the former Hartlepool man, who said: "I
can put my career back on track in my next three years at Oxford.
I see this move as a chance to kick-start my career and I am looking
forward to the challenge. "It took sometime for me to get here,
but hopefully things will start well with a few wins and if I
can get a few games under my belt we can take it from there and
go on to bigger and better things."
Smith was also enthusiastic about the deal, saying: "I have always
been a great admirer of Ian and I am delighted to have finally
captured his signature."
