Premier League Fulham could scupper Leicester City's attempt to land Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp.
City have agreed a fee - believed to be £1.85 million - for the 25-year-old hitman, but the Mercury understands that Cottagers boss Martin Jol is now weighing up a bid.
Sharp is also attracting the interest of several Championship clubs, but would love the chance of playing in the top-flight.
Fulham are believed to view Sharp as a possible replacement for Andy Johnson, who is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree a new deal.
They have already rejected a bid from QPR with Blackburn also monitoring his situation.
