Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is prepared to wait until the summer to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele.
Redknapp could offer cash plus midfielder Niko Kranjcar for the Belgian, 24, who is valued at £10million.
Dembele has scored just one goal this season, in a 2-0 win at Wigan at the end of November, but Redknapp rates him highly because of his work rate and unselfishness.
Indeed, Dembele was recently described as the most underrated player in the Premier League by Manchester City defender, and fellow Belgian, Vincent Kompany.
The 6ft 1in Dembele is already aware of Tottenham's interest, but Fulham boss Martin Jol will fight to keep him at Craven Cottage.
