Fulham boss Jean Tigana is likely to make sweeping changes for tonight's League Cup trip to Chesterfield to ensure a full force for the weekend.
Defender Rufus Brevett, who injured his shoulder at Nottingham Forest, is almost certainly out and should be replaced by either Paul Trollope or Eddie Lewis from the midfield.
Other players are also likely to be rested, with Tigana wanting everyone to be fit for Saturday's game against Gillingham in the league.
Fulham won't be underestimating their rivals, however. Chesterfield are flying in the Third Division and manager Nicky Law won the manager of the month award for August. He believes his team's tremendous team spirit will give Fulham a shock, and Tigana's men certainly won't be able to get away with the kind of performance which saw them lose the first leg of their first round tie against Northampton.
Tigana is keeping his team selection secret, but keeper Marcus Hahnemann is almost certain to be given another chance to shine.
