Saturday could well see the outstanding Teddy Sheringham dropped to the bench, with the man labelled 'inhuman' by manager Alan Pardew feeling tired in training.
"We are certainly not going to risk him. We know he can't play all the games and Teddy acknowledges that," said Pardew.
It is likely that Bobby Zamora will step into the breach, with an endorsement from Pardew ringing in his ears.
''He is desperate to start and is really showing up well in training. I have a good feeling for Bobby at the minute," added the West Ham boss.
Christian Dailly is likely to be on the bench with Tomas Repka continuing at right back.
Roy Carroll is still feeling a back injury but should continue, despite a superb performance by veteran understudy Shaka Hislop in the reserves. comments from Patrick Goss at SkySport
