Fulham team news

Midfielder Papa Bouba Diop will miss out through suspension.

The Senegal international was sent off for accumulating two yellow cards in the 2-0 victory over Everton last Saturday and begins a two-match ban on Wednesday night.

Mark Pembridge will deputise for Diop but otherwise boss Chris Coleman is likely to name an unchanged line-up with striker Collins John preferred to Andy Cole once again.

Fulham (from): Van der Sar, Volz, Knight, Goma, Rosenior, Radzinski, Pembridge, Clark, Boa Morte, John, McBride, Diop, Malbranque, Bocanegra, Cole, Jensen, Rehman, Crossley.

Newcastle team news

Defender Robbie Elliott has become the latest addition to Newcastle's depressing injury list ahead of Wednesday night's Barclays Premiership trip to Fulham.

The 31-year-old limped out of Saturday's goalless draw with Crystal Palace with a thigh strain, to join Celestine Babayaro and Kieron Dyer (both hamstring), Titus Bramble and Aaron Hughes (both groin) and Jermaine Jenas and Nicky Butt (both calf) on the sidelines.

Lee Bowyer completes his seven-match ban to leave manager Graeme Souness down to a squad of just 16 including youngsters Peter Ramage, Steven Taylor, James Milner, Charles N'Zogbia, Darren Ambrose and Martin Brittain.

Newcastle (from): Given, Harper, Carr, Ramage, Boumsong, Taylor, O'Brien, Faye, Milner, N'Zogbia, Ambrose, Robert, Brittain, Shearer, Ameobi, Kluivert.
