Luis Boa Morte and Pierre Wome are doubts for Fulham's trip to Sunderland on Saturday, while Louis Saha is ruled out through injury.
Cottagers manager Jean Tigana faces a selection headache for the big game at the Stadium of Light - Saha will be missing because of a hamstring knock, Boa Morte has a knee problem and Wome is highly doubtful because of an eye injury suffered on his debut against Tottenham.
It all points to a return at left-back for Rufus Brevett, with Steed Malbranque coming in on the left of midfield and Steve Marlet returning up front.
Marlet was dropped for the midweek game against Spurs but boosted his confidence by scoring a hat-trick in the reserves' 6-0 win over Queens Park Rangers. He is included in the squad to travel north but will face competition from Barry Hayles, while Lee Clark, back after an Achilles injury, hopes to be included against his former club.
