Barnsley's injured midfielder Steve Hayward has taken tentative steps on
the road to recovery after successfully coming through surgery.
The former Fulham man has been out of action with a serious knee injury
and still faces a substantial spell on the sidelines after going under the
surgeon's knife this week.
"The operation itself went absolutely perfectly, but Steve is still
going to be out of action for another 12 months," said Tykes physio
Jim Webb.
"It's going to be a long and slow process for Steve and we must take
our time and be positive with him."
