Fulham's
Steve Finnan has been given a starting place in the Republic of Ireland
squad to face Cyprus in Dublin on Saturday by boss Mick McCarthy.
Finnan has been capped nine times for the Republic and scored his only goal
so far during the 3-1 victory over Finland in November last year. He also
made the run and cross from which Jason McAteer scored the shock winner
against Holland last month. |
