Fulham defender Steve Finnan was a surprise inclusion in the PFA Premiership
Team of the Year following his first season in top-flight football.
Finnan, who is set to feature for the Republic of Ireland at this summer's
World Cup, has been a solid performer for The Cottagers this season and
was chosen ahead of England stars Gary Neville and Danny Mills.
Newcastle keeper Shay Given got the nod ahead of Liverpool's Jerzy Dudek,
while Manchester United and Arsenal both had three players included in the
line-up.
Leeds' Rio Ferdinand and Liverpool's Sami Hyypia were selected in the two
centre-back berths.
