Steve Dunn - Bristol, Avon

Ref Steve Dunn Steve Dunn has now turned full-time professional referee after previously listing his occupation as 'self-employed retailer'. The West Country boy began refereeing in his spare time for the Bristol, Country and Western leagues in 1978.

After joining the Football league's list of referees in 1992, Dunn progressed quickly, gaining promotion to the Premier League in 1995 and FIFA in 1996. 2001 was Dunn's biggest year, as he took charge of some key World Cup qualifying matches, not to mention the small matter of the FA Cup final between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Ref Dunn has not been a regular for Fulham with just three games in 3 season and has not had any really bad performances so far.

2002/2003
08-02-2003 Premier Fulham 2-1 Aston Villa 4y 0r
Bookings: Melville (Fulham) Barry , Edwards , Gudjonsson (Aston Villa)
Ref Dunn is one of the few ref's to be impressed with Luis Boa Morte's tumbles, in this game he gave us a penalty.

28-09-2002 Premier Everton 2-0 Fulham 4y 0r
Bookings: Unsworth (Everton) Hayles , Melville , Wome (Fulham)
Another bruising encounter with Moyes' bashers. This was the one where Alain Goma had to be subbed early in the game after being shoved into the side rails. Ref Dunn decided that the Fulham lads were the villains and gave them 3 yellows to Everton's one!

2001/2002
16-02-2002 FA Cup Walsall 1-2 Fulham 4y 0r
Bookings: Byfield , Carbon , Matias (Walsall) Brevett (Fulham)

General comments

Ref Dunn has officiated at two games so far this season and appears to be carrying on where he left off last season.

That includes being clearly biased against away squads in relation to the number of yellow cards dished out.
