Selley relishing Dons challenge

Former Fulham player Ian Selley is relishing the chance to make
a new career for himself at First Division rivals Wimbledon.
The midfielder, signed from Arsenal for £500,000 by Kevin Keegan,
had a nightmare time with injuries at Craven Cottage. He broke
his leg after only a couple of weeks at his new club and never
really established himself, but now, after being released on a
free transfer, the Dons have given him a new chance.
"It was frustrating for me at Fulham with all the injuries I had,
but I am fit now and this is a great chance for me to prove myself
again, perhaps I needed that new start," he said.
Wimbledon boss Terry Burton, who worked with Selley at Arsenal,
believes he has picked up a bargain: "Ian was a quality player
at Arsenal and he has been very unlucky with injuries. "He broke
his leg twice but you'd never guess that from the way he's been
flying into tackles in training. His passing is still first class
and I think he could do well for us."
