Fulham striker Louis Saha is reported, in an article in the Daily Mail this morning, to have submitted an official transfer request to leave London the club. The article also goes on to claim that Fulham and Man Utd have agreed a price of £9.8m for Saha.
The 25-year-old Frenchman is quoted as saying: "I am very happy now that we are about to complete the deal,".
"My dream of playing for United is close to being reality but first I have to complete a medical."
"I have wanted to go to United in my mind for a month and now I know that I must prove I can play in the team there,"
"This is a big step up in my career and I know that I will have to show that I'm good enough."
Saha also hopes the move will bring him to the attention of France coach Jacques Santini.
He said:' Of course I think of playing for the national team at Euro 2004 but first I have to fit into my new club and prove myself there before I can really think of France.'
