Fulham striker Louis Saha could make his comeback on Sunday against Birmingham in the FA Cup after four months out with a hamstring injury.

Saha would have been one of the substitutes against West Brom but the Premiership game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Loftus Road.

Assistant manager Christian Damiano said: "He is close to returning to action and we wanted to have him there on the bench against West Brom as an alternative.

"He is fit and can train normally but he needs some games now after being out for a long time."

He has not played since September and is not fully match fit but Fulham have scored only once in their last five games and they are desperate to improve their record.

Saha, 24, was due to return this month after recovering from surgery on his hamstring, although if he plays against Birmingham his comeback will be slightly ahead of schedule.
