Saha should play against Rovers

Louis Saha has revealed that he could still be in contention to face Blackburn in a crucial promotion clash on Sunday week.

The French striker missed last weekend's game at Bolton after picking up a knee injury in training and was expected to be out for almost a month.

It was thought that the player, who has proved a sensation this year with ten goals so far, may need minor surgery on the problem. But now the 22-year-old marksman says he is making a miraculous recovery.

He said: "I've seen the physio and the doctor and they both say it's not that bad. Maybe I will miss only one game.

"I hope so because I want to be back in the team and scoring goals."

With Saha's return sooner than expected, Luis Boa Morte will be wondering whether he has done enough to secure his first team place after bagging two goals in last weekend's win at Bolton.
