  • Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Wilson Palacios to White Hart Lane on Tuesday after agreeing terms on a £14m deal with Wigan for the midfielder. (Sun)


  • But the move for Palacios could be held up because Tottenham want to spread the fee over a number of years. (Daily Star)


  • Wigan are offering to double the Honduran international's wages in a bid to persuade him to stay at the club. (Daily Mail)


  • Spurs also want Newcastle back-up goalkeeper Steve Harper, but the Tyneside veteran may not be allowed to leave if number one stopper Shay Given is sold to Manchester City. (Various)
