Fulham target Dado Prso has reopened the chase for his signature by rejecting the chance to join Serie A giants Milan.
The Monaco marksman has attracted interest from Fulham and other Premiership clubs but the striker's manager Marko Naletelic claimed recently that a deal with Milan was on the verge of completion.
However, Prso wants regular first team football, something he was not getting in the Principality before his four-goal haul in the UEFA Champions League romp over Deportivo La Coruna, and feels he will not be satisfied with life on the bench in Milan.
"I've thought it over and decided that it is better to be a star in Monaco rather than a fourth striker in Milan," the Croatian international told Sportske Novosti.
Prso's contract expires in June, but he is not ruling out remaining with his current employers.
"I like it in Monaco so I will give my current club an advantage and will talk about my contract extension first," he added.
The Milan snub will spark renewed interest in his services from the Premiership clubs on his trail.
Meanwhile, Prso was voted Croatian Player of the Year ahead of Robert Kovac and Stipe Pletikosa.
