Premiership game results and details 08:11.05.02

Fulham ended a reasonable first season in the Premiership by finishing 13th and qualifying for the InterToto Cup despite the final game on Saturday, away at Blackburn, ending with the Black and Whites getting thrashed 3-0.

There was no Edwin van der Sar, Rufus Brevett or Luis Boa Morte due to injuries, no Barry Hayles due to suspension and no Steed Malbranque as he was away playing for the French U21's. Also many of the players that actually stepped out on to the pitch although there physically played as if their minds were somewhere else.

Louis Saha and Bjarne Goldbaek went close and Sean Davis and Sylvain Legwinski tried to give a lead to the rest of the squad with reasonable performances but much of the rest was a waste of time and fan's hard earned cash. Maik Taylor and Eddie Lewis were given rare opportunities to show Jean Tigana what he was missing unfortunately it turned out to be nothing.

Blackburn and Everton went close but fortunately not close enough to overturning Fulham's 1 point and 6 goals advantage over Everton so we qualified for the InterToto Cup.
