Fulham have a home game this weekend, but not until Monday evening as it is on Sky, when they welcome Portsmouth. The last time Fulham played Portsmouth in the top flight was back in the 1950's when the South coasters used to give us a hard time. However in more recent times , 1999 to 2001 in Division One, the two teams met 4 times with 3 wins and a draw for The Cottagers.
Pompey enjoyed a great start to their latest visit to the top flight however 6 points from their last 7 games must be a trifle worrying. Hopefully we can add to that worry by keeping all 3 points on Monday evening.
Elsewhere
The North London reds have not lost away from home this season collecting 4 wins and 2 draws on their travels so
their visit to Birmingham, who have lost just one home game should be an interesting clash with both squads prepared to go that extra stud to win a ball.
How times have changed. Moyes Muggers, who last year were dreaming of European footie before we burst their bubble, this weekend welcome fellow relegation zoners Wolves with both teams on equal points at the foot of the table. If Moyes does not get a win against Wolves there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth amongst Everton fans.
Sam Allardyce's Bolton will be happy to be visiting Leeds rather than anyone else in light of the shambles surrounding the Yorkshire club. Also, more to the point of course, Leeds have managed just one home win so far this season.
Micky Adams' team have lost just twice at home this season however they may be up for another defeat as Charlton have lost just one away game.
Don't you just love seeing Souiee trying to excuse the rubbish performance of his squad. Hopefully Man U have recovered from our mauling
and send Souiee away with another flea in his ear.
"The next manager of England", currently resting at Middlesbrough, welcomes an underperforming Liverpool hoping to avoid his fifth home defeat of the season.
KK returns to Toon Town, where he spectacularly bottled the chance to win the championship, hoping that his expensive City team are not out of the same mould. However Newcastle have not lost at home for four games so he could return South with a mounting headache. The Fulham Broadway Gang could go top of the Premiership if they win this one
Hard to see anything interesting in Tottenham v Aston Villa and unfortunately it is Sky's Sunday game.
By Tuesday with a win and a little luck we could be 5th with Arsenal top of the table however if it all goes against us we could drop to 10th spot with The Fulham Broadway Gang in top spot.
COME ON FULHAM!!
