Dramatic scenes at
the Cottage as large sections of the pitch are replaced
|

The Craven Cottage pitch is on the mend after
some dramatic works to improve the playing surface.
Manager Jean Tigana and his assistant Christian Damiano criticised the surface
after Fulham had picked up just one point from their last two home fixtures.
Players also voiced their concerns saying that the ball required at least two
touches instead of one.
The old pitch, that has been in place for 14 years, was cutting up far too easily
and interfering with Tigana's fast, flowing style of football. Cottage chief's
acted swiftly to implement improvements and over the last week large sections
have been completely replaced to ensure the rest of the season runs as smoothly
as possible for the Whites.
