Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock could
use some of the cash raised from the sale of Wayne Quinn to buy loan star
Paul Peschisolido from Fulham.
United will receive an initial £750,000 from Newcastle for Quinn and further
payments will see the figure rise to around £1million.
Peschisolido has done well since arriving on loan from Fulham a month
ago, scoring two goals in three appearances. The Canadian international
striker is due to spend two months on loan with the option of a third
month.
Warnock has been pleased with Peschisolido's contribution. He said: "Paul's
got some great habits and has fitted in well." Peschisolido is well down
the pecking order at Fulham and clearly does not figure in Jean Tigana's
plans.
e would cost around £500,000 and Warnock may decide to try and buy the
former Birmingham star now rather than risk another club coming in to
sign him. United's South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley are understood to have
contacted Fulham about the player.
Peschisolido has indicated that he would be interested in joining United
full-scale.
