ABDESLAM OUADDOU has confirmed he has held
talks with Fulham, but late interest from Werder Bremen and Kaiserslautern
may threaten his proposed move from Nancy.
The 22-year-old centre back was in London this week to discuss a switch
to Craven Cottage, and it was expected that he would finalise the transfer
swiftly.
However, there is a lot of interest in the player, and Jean Tigana faces
an anxious wait over Ouaddou's final decision on his future.
"With Fulham, things are always at the same point," said the
22-year-old. "I do not know if I will sign over there.
"Of course, the financial aspect is significant and it is interesting
in Fulham.
"But there is not only that. It is also necessary to take into account
the sporting aspect.
"For the moment, we did not find an area of agreement.
"I think that, if it is necessary to have an additional season with
Nancy, why not?"
ASNL, however, seem reliant on the big-money move, which could net them
£4 million, and Fulham remain favourites to sign a player their
official website has dubbed 'the French Rio Ferdinand', but there remains
the threat that another of the interested parties, either from Germany
or elsewhere, could make a late bid after the deal was not wrapped up.
