Supersub Erik Nevland insisted Fulham deserved another victory over a Big Four club at Fortress Craven Cottage.
Roy Hodgson's side beat Manchester United at home in the Premier League last season and now climb up to 11th-place after extending their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions.
Norway forward Nevland, who has scored six of his seven goals for the Whites from the bench, said: "It was a good performance by us. It is not easy coming to Craven Cottage. We showed that last year against United and Chelsea. It is a hard place to come to and we want to keep that going.
"In the second half I think we were the better team. We had a good feeling. I felt we had opportunities to score.
"They weren't scaring the life out of us. We basically had the game under control. It didn't feel like you were on the edge of your seat.
"It is hard for me to analyse Liverpool's performance but you probably would expect a bit more."
