Fulham halted their three-match Barclays Premiership losing run in fine style as Luis Boa Morte and Andy Cole pounced to ensure Spurs continue their freefall down the league table.

Fulham midfielder Luis Boa Morte opened the scoring with his 4th of the season |
An excruciatingly dull opening half hour was soon forgotten in the 33rd minute when Boa Morte capped a slick move with his fourth goal of the season, a fitting reward following an inspired performance from the attacking midfielder.
Cole, who had been handed the captain's armband, led by example throughout and his 61st minute strike - set-up by a rampant Boa Morte - was well deserved and proved his arrival over the summer was a shrewd piece of business by Chris Coleman.
Once Fulham had hit their stride, there was only on team in it as Spurs' defence was repeatedly unlocked by the movement of Cole, Boa Morte, Steed Malbranque and Collins John and the home side could have been out of sight at half-time.
In contrast, Spurs offered little in attack and failed to trouble goalkeeper Mark Crossley - who kept his place in the Cottagers' starting line-up following his midweek heroics - at any point of the match.
Spurs midfielder Sean Davis was playing his first match against his old paymasters since moving to north London in July and Coleman's call for fans to give the former Fulham favourite a hostile reception was answered with enthusiasm.
Davis' departure left a bitter taste in the mouth of Cottagers supporters dismayed by the 25-year-old's perceived lack of loyalty after he had pledged allegiance to the club in the wake of his collapsed transfer to Everton last year
They will have drawn comfort from an ineffectual performance in his first Premiership start for two months and if he was hoping for a kind welcome from the club he had served with such distinction during 155 league appearances he was disappointed.
Davis - a product of Fulham's academy system - made his presence felt early on with a foul on Papa Bouba Diop which sent the Senegal midfielder sprawling and drew a crescendo of boos, which then greeted his every touch.

Fulham striker Andrew Cole scored the winning goal |
Jermain Defoe slipped into a dangerous position but was bundled off the ball just as he was about to pull the trigger while at the other end Luis Boa Morte and Collins John gave Spurs' defence plenty to think about with two menacing runs.
Save for the odd counter from Spurs, Fulham dominated the opening 15 minutes - although this was largely thanks to a dreadful start from the visitors who gave away possession with worrying ease.
But Spurs' sloppiness was proving contagious and Coleman could only watch on in frustration as his side's passing fell apart, although one pinpoint free-kick caused excitement until Cole headed wide.
Pedro Mendes carved Fulham open with a strong run and perfectly-weighted through-ball but from an acute angle Defoe pushed his shot off target with only Crossley to beat.
The match was becoming a dreadful spectacle but fortunately a beautifully-crafted goal in the 33rd minute from Fulham gave the home fans something to cheer.
Diop and Collins John combined in midfield before the Dutch youth international released Steed Malbranque who had drifted across to the left flank and his threaded pass to Boa Morte was tucked away by the Portuguese winger.
Fulham could have made it two a heartbeat later when Diop's cross found John but Spurs keeper Paul Robinson made an excellent diving save to deny the 19-year-old forward's flashing header.
A promising raid down the right from Moritz Volz opened up Spurs once again but his squared ball to Cole did not reach its intended destination and the German full-back would have been bettered served by shooting himself.

Coleman has criticised his side's failure to keep their concentration for an entire match and with the recent defeat by Liverpool - when Fulham took a 2-0 lead before losing 4-2 - still fresh in the memory, at half-time he must have impressed upon his players the need to maintain their focus.
If that was the case his players answered in magnificent style, weathering an early second-half storm before adding a second goal in the 61st minute through another slick move.
Cole and Boa Morte combined on the edge of the area with the latter taking possession and dashing to the byline before squaring to Cole who turned the ball home for his fifth Premiership goal of the season.
Spurs were having real trouble dealing with Boa Morte and his break down the left wing shortly after found John who was denied by Robinson for a second time.
Boa Morte had a penalty shout turned down in the 78th minute after colliding with Noureddine Naybet but replays showed the former Arsenal striker was being overly optimistic.
Davis was substituted to chants of "what a waste of money" and replaced by unsettled midfielder Michael Carrick, but Fulham still dominated with Cole testing Robinson in the last meaningful act of the match.
