Fulham striker Steve Marlet |
French striker Steve Marlet has warned Fulham he will not be forced out of Craven Cottage unless the deal is right.
The £11.5 million striker is one of Fulham's top earners and has been tipped to leave as new boss Chris Coleman ushers in an era of austerity.
But though the French international admits he has not always had it easy in his two years in England, he is reluctant to accept a lesser deal elsewhere.
`I am still and always will be a fighter,' Marlet told L`Equipe.
`I still have three years on my contract at Fulham. Today, nothing is decided in one way or another.
`If the directors want me to stay there is no problem. But I exclude nothing, not even returning to France or playing in another country.
`Simply, at 29 and at this stage of my career it would be difficult to agree to make financial sacrifices.'
