Fulham will confirm Steve Marlet as the biggest flop in British transfer history by selling the £11.5million man for peanuts.
The Cottagers have told prospective French buyers they would accept a bid of just 1m euros - or £770,000 - for the hapless striker.
Fulham are desperate to lose the Frenchman's £30,000-a-week earnings from their wage bill.
Marlet, 29, has scored just 10 goals in 54 league appearances since arriving in a club-record deal from Lyon in 2001.
