Marseille striker Steve Marlet could be sidelined until the new year with his latest injury.
Marlet, on a season's loan at OM from Fulham, picked up the injury to his right ankle in last week's 4-1 thrashing by champions Lyon at the Stade Velodrome.
Marlet admits he does not know if he will be back before the Christmas break.
"It's a very bad sprain," Marlet said.
"I am not in plaster and surgery will not be necessary but I am walking around on crutches.
"First I will have to immobilise the ankle and then get back the mobility. That will take a good month and a half.
"I don't yet know if I will be back before the mid-season break. I am waiting to see."
