Since Tigana left the Londoners some two weeks ago, speculation has been rife that a number of his French signings would follow him out of the exit door but Marlet has now come forward to declare his happiness to remain at the club.
"I signed with Fulham and not Jean Tigana. It's him that made me come here, but that's all," said the French international hit-man.
"I am happy here. In fact, it all depends on the new manager. When that person is chosen we will see what he thinks of me and whether he wants to keep me.
"For the time being I'm not sure what will happen even though I have my ideas. We will take a decision at the end of the season.
"I do not want to experience another season like the one we have just had. It's not interesting.
"The club need to show that they are still ambitious. I have the impression of having started something and not having finished it."
However, Marlet went on to add that he feels, after revealing substantial recent losses, the West-London based outfit will look to cash in on him.
"I think that the club are applying a new policy with the aim of not losing money.
"The directors want to recoup some of their money. Thus, I expect that they will want to sell me.
"I'm not ruling out anything. I feel at ease in England, but if I had to leave for another championship I would do it.
"I wouldn't even rule out a return to the French championship."
