Man Utd need cash for Saha

last updated Tuesday 14th June 2005, 7:57 AM
Fulham boss Chris Coleman has been trying to get Louis Saha back in a season-long loan deal.

But United boss Alex Ferguson needs a cash move to help him rebuild after failing to win a trophy last season.

Ferguson paid Fulham £12.8m for Saha, 26, in January 2004 but the hitman has had a wretched time with the Red Devils and made only 11 starts last term.

However Everton boss David Moyes is lining up a swoop for Saha.

The two clubs are already talking about ending the £6million-rated French international’s Old Trafford nightmare.

Moyes switched his attention to Saha after failing to land Chelsea’s Mikael Forssell. Moyes had agreed a £3m deal with Chelsea for the Finn but then had concerns over the player’s fitness.
